STORY
Tara's story corresponds with the tale of Rapunzel quite well. First off, she was adopted. Young Tara never knew her birth parents, and her adoptive mother was cruel to her. She'd lock Tara in her room for days at a time as a punishment, only letting her out for food and to go to the bathroom. Growing up, Tara was abused both physically and verbally. She never had a social life growing up, as she was never allowed out of the house, much like how Rapunzel was always trapped in her tower by the witch who raised her.

Needless to say, Tara grew up emotionally unstable and depressed, especially in her teenage years. She was always moody, and was known for having nervous breakdowns, which only caused more abuse from her guardian. Tara developed and eating disorder along with her depression, and was a very unstable teenage girl.

Also corresponding with the fairy-tale, Tara was cast out of her house by her adoptive mother, and left to fend for herself. She was sent to Grimm High School, a boarding school, so that she didn't have to deal with the daughter that she had pledged to take care of.

However, despite her poor childhood and abusive past, Tara was blessed with a beautiful singing voice. Whenever Tara felt like she was on the verge of another meltdown, she would either sing or listen to music. She also is a big fan of reading and writing poetry. It serves as an escape to her, that she wouldn't be able to get otherwise.

Just a bit on her name: Tara means "Tower" or "hillside". Rapunzel was trapped in a tower, so that's her first name.

Ely: Height. The tower was tall, also because Rapunzel was known for having extremely long hair.
