If a rule is broken, the member will receive a 25% warning bar. On the last day of every month each member with a warning bar of any size will have 25% removed. Once a member reaches 100% on their warning bar they will be banned until the end of the month when they lose 25% and have 75%.
1. Your application needs to be accepted before you RP. OOC posts are fine AFTER you post an application, but RPing is for approved characters only.
2. Respect all members. Don't post anything that attacks or insults anyone. Don't PM hate messages.
3. Members with accepted characters are required to post 3 OOC posts a week. As for RP posts: if you reply to someone's thread or you start a thread and some replies you are required to update it every other day. This is to insure activity.
If you are going to be gone for a day or more (therefore cannot make a post of any kind), please let this be known to the admin either by creating a thread in the anything``TALK board or by PMing her. If something unexpected happened, the next time you sign on PM the admin IMMEDIATELY.
4. No godmodding. Along with a 25% warning, I will delete the post.
5. No spamming. No posting in incorrect boards.
6. No Mary Sues/Gary Stus/Anti Sues. I will let you know if your character appears Mary/Anti Sueish as a warning. The second warning will end in a 25% add to the warning bar. The third, a deletion of the character.
7. No sexual themes passed anything implied.
8. No excessive cussing, try using that extensive vocabulary all writers have to make up for it. Most cuss words are censored so if you try, it will ruin your post anyway. You will not be punished for breaking this rule except in humiliation.
9. Signatures cannot be larger than 500x400.
10. No one liners. In fact, posts should be more than 300 words and, no, that isn't a lot:
Members should always try using correct grammar and spelling in their posts. You also need to have at least 300 words in your RP posts. Many people, including myself, use Microsoft Word to type up our RP posts before posting them. Why? Because we know that not does Microsoft Word check or spelling and grammar, it also does a word count as well. That's a handy tool for someone who needs to follow the rules in an RP site.
Anyway, the grammar and spelling thing isn't a rule but you will be warned by the admin every time you make an obviously stupid grammar or spelling no-no. Some frequently misspelled words I see on Proboards are than, acquaintance, grammar (oh the irony), actually, receive, you get the idea. It is really distracting to see a misspelled word in a post you are supposed to reply to. It really irks me and probably other members as well.
I forgot to mention something! Please make all RP posts in PAST TENSE and in 3RD PERSON. I know this is a silly thing to ask since most of you already know to do that, but I have seen sites where people join and RP in the wrong person and tense. Most people on Proboards already know to do this so if you are new to Proboards and don't know you have been warned.
It is so easy to post three hundred words. I did it right now without even a drop of sweat. So don't stress over that silly rule number ten. If you can't post 300 words you should try joining a more free roleplay. Thanks for taking the time to read this nonsense. Feel free to PM me.
11. Do not PM ads to other sites to your fellow members. There is a place to put ads.
12. Do not cuss in the Cbox, Do not RP in the Cbox, Do not spam in the Cbox, Do not insult or attack other members in the Cbox. If a guest posts insulting things in the Cbox PLEASE IGNORE THEM. Do not talk to them, Do not inform them of their insults of you.
13. Since it has been made a rule for all Proboards, I've made it a rule here. Please do not hotlink images. Please, upload images in your own Photobucket account or Tiny Pic, or some other image uploading site on the Internet. Anything hotlinked will be removed without warning.
14. You may report questions, comments, and breaches in the rules to me by creating a PM and sending it to 'admin.' Do not report a member that has not broken a rule.
15. To prove that you have read these rules remember this password to put in your application. The password is 55785
