High school isn't meant to last forever, but those years are supposed to be the ones you reflect and reminisce on - not ones that turn your blood cold. and for the class of two-thousand nine, they'd give anything to give those four years away. in the small town of forest hills, tennessee, the past school year ended with everything being changed. chances were taken; people once loved quickly became the past; lives were ruined; dreams were shattered and final goodbyes were said. this is what you encounter when a devastating school shooting ends your school year, killing the ones who you thought you'd love and grow on with. just weeks before graduation was supposed to take place, a gunman entered the school and soon opened fire on the second floor in one of the senior hallways. all together there was a total of nine fatalities - all of them were seniors that were about to start their journeys in life. while some believe that this was none other than an act of random violence, others believe it was fueled by lies and secrets hidden within forest hills high school. and then there are those who don’t want to believe at all!
Can you imagine what it's like to go from planning graduation parties to funerals? that's what nine families had to endure. and now it's been four months since that tragic day and a new class of freshman are about to start the beginning of the next four years, while the class of two-thousand ten is ready to forgive and never forget. while some are trying to let go of their yesterdays and follow their dreams, others want to live in the past and never face what reality brought. some are trying to make this year one to remember with new friendships, parties, and new found faith, while some of the prettiest faces want to stay locked away from the rest of the world - never to face what they lost. people are going to sit back and wonder where those nine lost lives would end up in ten years. it's going to hurt when you realize it's really gone, but when you live in the shadow of music city, you can't hide away! will things ever go back to how they used to be - the right way - or will things just remain broken? only time will tell, but for now it's time to forget about why you can't in life and reach for something when there's nothing left.
