STORY
Rose Canta was accepted into Grimm for her musical potential and because her parents knew people in the school. Her grades were above average, but her singing voice was what made her unique. Her mother had attended Grimm when she was younger and had made a name for herself. She wanted to follow in her mother’s footsteps and attend Grimm to make a name for herself as well. Especially in the music department.

Sure, Rose wasn’t as rich as most of the other students at the school, but she had money. She managed to fit in pretty well, getting along with almost everyone. She was really a very loving girl. Well, except towards her enemies for the most part. But at often times, people thought of her as too nice. And she would admit, it was one of her fatal flaws. It couldn’t be helped though. Trying to make her any different from how she already was, was basically a lost cause.

For the most part, Rose didn’t grow up with her parents for the majority of her childhood. She was raised by a close family friend (whom she called Nanna) while her parents couldn’t take care of her. She met her parents for the first time at the age of ten. However, she only spent a two years with them until she was accepted into Grimm. It was a sad time for her, but she knew that she was for the greater good.

Rose grew up to love animals and music. Music was her passion whether it was dancing, singing, or playing the flute. Nanna had taught her about music at a very young age for Nanna herself played the harp. Although playing the harp didn’t stick with her, singing sure did. Everyone who knew her, from her family and friends to hated enemies, knew her for her singing voice. It was the thing she took pride in. As for the animals, she had loved them from the start for she grew up near a forest. She spend most of her time there singing to the animals until the sun came down.

Although Rose did grow up a happy child, she did have a few things wrong with her. She had belonephobia, the fear of needles. At the sight of them, she would burst into tears and often faint. No one really knew why this occurred, but it wasn’t something she couldn’t control. She would get hysterical and stay that way for hours. On top of that, she had narcolepsy. She would fall asleep out of nowhere at times and wouldn’t wake up so easily. Nanna and Rose’s parents worried for her, knowing that she usually had an episode when she freaked out whenever she saw needles. Her “illnesses” have gotten much better since her childhood, but sometimes she can’t help it.
